How we handle your information.

This website is run for the National MSME Conference (GROW Nigerian) by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN). SMEDAN decides how the information you give us is used. We handle it in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form on this site:

• Attending: your name, email, phone, state, and optionally your business name, sector, SMEDAN number and the tracks and activities you’re interested in.
• Exhibiting: contact details, business details, CAC and SMEDAN numbers, a description of the business and product images.
• Pitching: contact and business details, your pitch answers, your pitch deck and any supporting documents, and the link and handle for your public pitch post.
• Media, volunteering, Showcase invites and messages: your name, contact details and the answers on that form.

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. If you use “Save and continue later”, your draft is kept in your own browser, not on our servers, until you submit or clear it.

Why we use it

• To register you, issue your ticket and let you in on the day.
• To review and decide marketplace, pitch, media, volunteer and Showcase applications.
• To contact you about the conference and reply to your messages.
• With your consent, to tell you about SMEDAN and partner opportunities after the event: grants, programmes and business development.

Checking pitch posts

When you paste a link to your public pitch post, our server visits that public page to confirm it exists and which account published it. We only read what the platform shows to anyone without logging in.

Who sees it

• The SMEDAN conference team.
• If your marketplace booth is approved and you consented, Ecobank, to onboard you onto its digital payment platform.
• If you consented, SMEDAN’s conference partners, for post-event opportunities.
• The companies that host this site and its database on our behalf. They store your information securely and can’t use it for anything else.

We don’t sell your information.

Some information is public by design: the business name, sector, state and booth number of approved exhibitors appear on the Marketplace page. Contact details are never published.

How long we keep it

For as long as we need it to run the 2026 conference and follow up with the people and businesses who took part. After that we delete it or keep it only in a form that no longer identifies you.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent to being contacted about opportunities. Email conference@smedan.gov.ng with the reference from your confirmation. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
